The Safari Experience
A 'Masterclass' in the Wild
At Great Guide Safaris, your adventure is all about you. No rigid schedules, just the freedom to explore the wildlife on your terms. Whether it’s following the lead of the animals in real time or sneaking in a nocturnal safari on a whim, this is an authentic experience akin to safaris taken by Africa’s early explorers.
With Kaz leading the way, sharing fascinating insights into your discoveries – revealing the backstories of individual animals and uncovering secrets of the bush, from the tiniest insects to the intricate dynamics between predator and prey – you’ll witness firsthand how wildlife respond to their epic world and you’ll head home with more than just a checklist of sightings in your pocket! Your hearts will be full of stories and shared memories!
Victoria Falls, Hwange and Mana Pools in Zimbabwe and Chobe National Park and Khwai River in Botswana provide the perfect settings for this immersive experience. The vast wilderness of these parks is where the magic happens. A typical day starts with an early morning drive and coffee in the bush. After a leisurely breakfast back at camp, you’ll head out for 3-4 hours, either on foot or by vehicle, for a late afternoon safari, finishing the day sharing stories around a campfire under a canopy of a million stars.
It’s the ultimate safari experience – natural, flexible, and unforgettable.
